For people who keep pages around

You keep a page open because you’re not done with it: the recipe for the weekend, the desk you might buy, the trip you’re planning. Other browsers turn that into a pile you have to sort through. Lar is built for keeping.

One afternoon, one thread

Here’s a single thread, Kyoto in autumn, from the first search to getting it back later.

  1. Start

    A search starts a thread

So does a typed address or a link from another app. Every page you open from there joins the same thread, and the thread gets a name.

The address bar in Lar: the thread name Kyoto in autumn above en.wikipedia.org, with a dot for each of the thread’s pages.

  5. Any day

Private by design

Keeping everything only works if it stays yours. Lar has no servers of its own, and the developer collects no data.

  • No analytics, ads or accountsNo crash reporting SDKs either. Lar only loads the pages and searches you ask for.
  • On your device and your iCloudBrowsing data stays on your device and, if you turn it on, syncs through your own iCloud, encrypted.
  • Lists inside the appBlocking uses lists that ship inside the app, so nothing about the pages you visit is sent anywhere to check them.
  • Named on deviceThread names come from Apple Intelligence on your iPhone or iPad, never a cloud service.
